Deep Blue View is a very very special place. It' s the only place we ever visited twice, and for sure will return to! Esther, Menno, Bully and Usco makes their guests their friends, who return year after year after year.. The athmosphere is relaxed, and the hammocks are just perfect to absorb the impressions after a "busy" day of diving. Esthers delicious breakfast makes you get up in the morning, and Menno's bbq beats any chef on the island and far beyond that...
DBV has a tranquility that you don't get at resorts, a peacefulness about it and a friendliness that makes everybody feel special. You do things at your own pace and when you feel like it, no schedule. Some go diving together, some days from shore, some days from the grand new boat!
The dive trips on the boat are all small group, no stress. And always served Esthers delicious muffins between dives.. :-)
Not the least, it is a place to meet fellow divers and make new friends :-) Just like on our last visit we met a bunch of nice people, that share the same interest in the underwater world and are out to enjoy a relaxing but still eventful vacation.
On our last visit to the DBV we met Ty and Kelly from Minnesota, who became great friends and divebuddies, and introduced us to the excitement of nightdiving. And by pure accident ( or fate?) we met again!! 2 weeks with great diving with Ty and Kelly made it an even greater vacation than we could have hoped for. They have already booked their vacation for next year, and Menno is going to keep us posted if those weeks are getting booked up... We'll be back!.
Bonaire
BREAKING NEWS:
The Scubadooby creature has been off course once before, and this year there are signs of proof that this might happen again... Not so much off course though, still along the golf stream the creature has drifted to the Bahamas!
The creature seem to be more and more dependent on water, moving down from the hills to the beach in Bonaire last year, the creature now actually will rest ON the water when surfacing from the deep. It has become rather sociable and will be spending time on a sailboat with very goood friends and UW-creatures whenever up to dry up. Since this implies less WIFI connectivity, time will show if the Scubadooby are able to transmit signals to the rest of the world. The creature is still closely attached to new friend Precious, and hopefylly this symbiosis will result in images of the UW-scenery for landlocked creatures to enjoy - stay tuned :)
The Bahamas is an archipelagic state consisting of more than 700 islands, cays and islets in the Atlantic and is located southeast of Florida, north of Cuba and Haiti and northwest of the Turks and Caicos.
