Tekniske problemer

Kun ett dykk i går, - kjørte hele veien nord på øya for å gjøre dykk i spesiellt naturskjønne omgivelser, bare for å oppdage at regulatoren til Kelly ikke var samarbeidsvillig... så: tilbake for reparasjoner, lunsj og subsistuttdykk sør på Tori's reef, et rev der vanligvis ser eagle ray, men ikke i dag. Nydelig rev ellers, med masse liv! Så stooooor barracuda, angel - french og queen, og masse annet. Artige jawfish i sanden på vei tilbake som sto vertikalt over sine hull i sanden før plutselig trakk seg tilbake. Deretter var planen et dykk nordpå, - men da var det Stein sin dybdemåler sa takk for seg... så da ble det hammocken på DBV i stedet ;).

Queen Angel

Yesterday was a "busy"diving day with three dives, - Oil Slick Leap in the morning, Witches Hut in the afternoon and a nightdive at Windsock. From last visit to Oil Slick I remembered a beautiful Queen angel, and she didn't disappoint, - we met again. The name "Queen" comes from the little blue "crown" she has on her head/top. This is one of the most colorful fish of the reef :) On our nightdive we stayed down for 70 minutes, but apart from 3 tarpons following us/sneaking up on us and wondering if we were odd fish or food...we didn't see lot (some moray eels, lobster, +the usual stuff..) Always exciting with a nightdive though:) .

Deep Blue View

We've now moved up into the hills, - to DBV and the tradewinds. Much more refreshing temperature here, - and: now we're about to ingest Esthers famous breakfast! Yesterday we did our own House Reef in the morning, and then a drift dive from La Dania's Leap to Karpata in the afternoon wth Ty and Kelly. A reef packed with life! Pictures from this need to go through photoshop, so thats for later. Meanwhile have a look at this turtle from Klein.

Last night at Lighthouse Beach Resort

A week passes quickly by, and we've tried to make the most out of this wonderful spot. It's a truly beautiful place, - a location thats hard to beat ;) Tomorrow we're moving up to Deep Blue View, - to be spoiled... We've only made one dive today - Angel City once more...and spent as much time as possible in our "backyard".....

Angel City

Angel City is like any other community where creatures get together and interact. Diving this reef-city is like taking a walk in the neighborhood, observing daily life as it goes by. The living buildings (coral) are beautifully decorated as in a prosperous district, some hightowers where the guys like to hang out (Margates and Snappers). The neighbours are chatting - the different species interacting friendly, depending on eachother for food, security or just for cleaning purposes! Some are out for lunch, like the turtle we met, some are rushing to work or something important and others are visiting the reef from deepseas like the tourgroup of Jacks we encountered on the outer reef. Everything seems to be harmonious and calm during the day, the bad guys, predators, are hiding in crevices or out at sea and won't show up untill dark..... Join us for a tour of downtown Angel City:

Green Moray at Klein

We're having a relaxed non-diving day today, - just soaking up all the impressions of the dives so far. This Moray Eel walking the reef at Klein was a real treat! Most of the time observed they're just peeking out of a hole gaping, - this on gave us a better view of its size and gracious movements.

Colorful creatures of the night

As we're having busy days of diving we're behind with the pictures now...so here's a few from yesterdays nightdive. The colors come out beautifully during the night, - just enjoy the creatures of the night, - some sleeping, others hunting.
Tomorrow we'll take you on a stroll in our favourite city, - Angel City which we visited today :) We did two dives today, this dive site and Alice in Wonderland that both are part of the same double reef system
